Catherine Guy-Quint is a French politician and Member of the European Parliament for central France. She got her diploma of higher studies of environment/water treatment in 1971 in Poitiers. In 1982, she got her university diploma in management in Clermont-Ferrand.
She was a member of Group of the Party of European Socialists between 1999 and 2004. Since 2004, she was a member of Socialist Group in the European Parliament. She was also a member of the national party Parti socialiste (France).
Besides that, she was a member of Committee on Budgets, Conference of Delegation Chairs, Temporary committee on policy challenges and budgetary means of the enlarged Union 2007-2013, Delegation for relations with South Africa and Delegation to the EU-Bulgaria Joint Parliamentary Committee. She was a substitute for Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Consumer Policy, Delegation to the EU-Romania Joint Parliamentary Committee, Committee on Regional Policy, Transport and Tourism, Delegation to the EU-Romania Joint Parliamentary Committee, Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs, Temporary Committee on improving safety at sea and Temporary Committee on Climate Change.
Between 2004 and 2006, she was a Vice-Chair to Delegation to the EU-Bulgaria Joint Parliamentary Committee
