Cristiana Muscardini graduated in philosophy. She was national executive of the National University Action Front, the Italian Social Movement and National Alliance. Between 1980 and 1990, Muscardini was municipal councillor of Milan and, in 1991 she became municipal councilor of Varese. She was elected to the Chamber of Deputies in 1983.
Muscardini became Member of the European Parliament in 1989 and remained an MEP until 2014.
