Context
The transfer of the EMA historical archives in 2025 is in accordance with Council Regulation No. 2015/496 (EU) and the subsequent framework agreement between the European Commission and the EUI, whereby EU institutions are required to deposit their historical archives at the HAEU.
The files were prepared and described by the Archives Services at EMA.
Content and Structure
The European Medicines Agency (EMA) fonds contains files related to the Agency's integral governance body - the EMA Management Board.
Conditions of Access and Use
The fonds are freely accessible 30 years after their creation. However, some digitised files were redacted for the public access as aligned with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
