Following a proposal by and in collaboration with the EMRC, the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office in Copenhagen organized a first meeting on Economics and Health in 1976 which give the input for the working party.
The working party on Economics of Health follows closely any development from the initiative taken by the ESF Standing Committee for the Social Sciences on these topics.
