The commemorative coin on the ocassion of the 100th anniversary of death of Ernest Malinowski, construcotr of the Central Railway, presented to Bronisław Geremek. Ernest Malinowski (1818-1899) Polish born engineer known for major construction projects in Peru and Ecuador.

The coin of a diameter of 4cm is placed in placed in a plastic cover which is part of a paper folding leaflet (22.5/13cm). The face of the leaflet portaits Ernest Malinowski and the Central Railway and contains an inscription: 'Banco Central de Reserva del Perú. Gerencia de Tesorería. Moneda Commemorativa del Centanario del Fallecimiento de Ernesto Malinowski, Constructor del Ferrocarril Central'. The back of the leaflet contains technical details of the coin; interior of the brochure pictures the Central Railway and a decription of the project. The brochure contains a certificate of authenticity numbered 0105. The face of the coin pictures the Central Railway with an inscription: 'Ernesto Malinowski, Constructor del Ferrocarril Central'. The reverse contains an emblem and an inscription: 'Banco Central de Reserva del Peru. Un nuevo sol'.
