The silver Medal (4.5cm in diameter) is placed in a white-golden plush case (9/9/2cm) holding a Vatican emblem on the front. The face of the Medal portaits John Paul II with an inscription: 'Anno X. Johannes Paulus II Pontfex Maximus An. XVI'. The reverse includes an inscription: 'Annus familiae MCMXCIV'. The case contains a certificate nr 0280/6000. The case is placed in a white paper box containing a papal emblem and an inscription: 'Medaglia Pontificia Anno X'.
