The Medal (5.5/5,5cm) is placed in the dark blue box (9/12/3cm). The front of the Medal portaits Senator J. William Fulbright 1905-1995. The revers includes an inscription: 'Polsko-Amerykańska Fundacja Fulbrighta. Polskie Stowarzyszenie Stypendystów Fulbrighta. 40-lecie programu Fulbrighta w Polsce 1959-1999' on the background of the Polish and American flags.
