The Medal of an irregular shape (diameter of approx. 5.5cm) is placed in a red box (10/10/2cm) with an inscription '1502-2002 Universität Halle-Wittenberg'. The face of the Medal holds an inscription 'Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg 1502-2002'. The reverse of the Medal includes an inscription: '1502 Universität Wittenberg Leucorea. 1694 Universität Halle Fridericiana'.
