The silver Medal (diameter of 6.5cm) is placed in a dark blue box (10cm/10cm/2.5cm) with an inscription 'Monnaie de Paris' inside. The face of the Medal presents Francis I of France with an incription '1530 François 1er fonde le Collège de France'. The reverse presents the seat of the Collège with its motto: 'Docet omnia'.
