The silver Medal (diameter of 6.5 cm) is placed in a brown box (8.5/8.5/2cm) with an inscription 'Fibru-Fisch Brussels' inside. The face of the Medal includes an inscription: 'Hommage à Bronisław Geremek. Docteur honoris Causa. 19 mars 1991. Université libre de Bruxelles. Fondée le 20 novembre 1954 '. The reverse of the Medal holds an inscription: 'Universitas Bruxellensis. Scientia - Vincere - Tenebras'.
