The golden Medal (diameter of 8.5 cm) is placed in a black box (10.5/11.5/3.5cm) with an inscription 'Monnaie de Paris' inside. The face of the Medal presents the seat of the Sorbonne and the inscription: 'Université de Paris - Sorbonne'. The reverse includes an inscription: 'Bronislaw Geremek. Docteur Honoris Causa. 20 mars 1991'.
