Abstract
Corrado Vivanti (1928-2012), historian at the University of Turin. The letter discusses academic cooperation, a meeting of C. Vivanti's wife with B. Geremek, the political situation in Poland following the collapse of the government led by the Law and Justice, and the recent book of C. Vivanti on N. Machiavelli. The letter recalls, too, the first meeting between C. Vivanti and B. Geremek at the seminar led by F. Braudel in 1957.
