The "Unknown date" series was created to account for the large number of autograph worksheets and preparatory models by I.B.F. Kormoss and his collaborators, which help us understand the methodology behind the creation of these maps. In addition to the graphical features—useful for interpreting the processing of the extensive data that contribute to the composition of the maps—the study of territories that were not yet part of the European Community, such as the Balkans, and the highly valuable travel itineraries of Kormoss himself, are of considerable importance. These materials were later included in worksheets or directly incorporated into future maps.
