Simon Nuttall had a prolific professional career as a government official in the British foreign office and as an academic as visiting professor at the College of Europe in Bruges, where he taught a graduate course on European Foreign Policy. He is author of 'European Political Co-operation", Clarendon Press, 1992 and "European Foreign Policy", Oxford University Press, 2000. Furthermore, he contributed to a huge quantity of academic journals on a variety of topics from the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), trade and foreign policy making in the EU to relations between Europe and Japan.
