SEC(1992)37 - A special chefs meeting was held on 24/11/91, on the subject of the "Green Paper on the development of the single market in postal services". The meeting requested a briefing note on the overall problematic of the Green Paper, on the social, technological and financial impact of the proposals , and on the different possible options. The note that follows meets that request as well as containing text which responds to other aspects of the discussion at that special chefs meeting. A new version of the Green Paper will shortly be distributed in advance of a further special chefs meeting. The note attached today may also be a useful reading aid for that new version, since it contains the new matter in the new version of the Green Paper
