Context
The Network on Soil-Water Processes was approved by the ESF Executive Council in September 1990, and it was completed by the end of 1993.
The Chairman was Dr Georges Vachaud.
Content and Structure
The aim of the Network on Soil-Water Processes is to develop a unified understanding of the physical, chemical and biological processes within the vadose zone. It analyses the basic processes that occur during transfer of water and dissolved chemicals between the soil surface and a groundwater table.
