The Network on Neuroimmunomodulation was launched by the Executive Council in September 1989 for an initial two-year period (Phase 1). After this period the Phase 2 Network option was no longer available, a one year extension to the Network was agreed by the Network Committee. The Network completed its activities towards the end of 1992.
The Chairman of the Coordination Committee was Dr. Robert Dantzer of Bordeaux.
