Context
The Network on Demography and Social Change was approved by ESF Executive Council in November 1988 for a two-year period (1988-1990).
The Chairman was Dirk J van de Kaa, Professor of Demography at the University of Amsterdam and Director of the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities and Social Sciences, in Wassenaar.
Content and Structure
The aim of the Network was to study the interaction between demographic processes and social developments in contemporary Europe.
