Context
Antonio Cassese was professor of International Law at the University of Pisa (1972-1975), then in 1975 he moved to the University of Florence, faculty of the Political Science "Cesare Alfieri"; from 1987 to 1993 he was professor at the European University Institute and in 2000, after his job in ICTY, he went back to teaching at the University of Florence.
He was director of the "Post-graduate School of International Affairs" (Florence), and co-founder of the "Fondazione di ricerche e studi internazionali" in 1980.
In the academic year 1979/1980 he was a visiting fellow at All Soul College, Oxford and several times throughout his career he was visiting professor, for the last time in 2005 at the Columbia University (New York).

The file contains various materials collected by Cassese during his activities as full Professor; further documentation regarding Cassese`s academic career is in "Appointments and Contracts" and "EUI" files.
The file comprises:
- Reports, letters, official documents concerning academy committees Cassese took part in. Correspondence with Alessandro Migliazza, Piero Ziccardi, Roberto Barsotti, Luigi Vittorio Ferraris, Paolo Picone.
- An Application form, a report on work done by Cassese, letters concerning the visiting fellowship at All Soul College, Oxford. Booklets and articles about the College. Correspondence with Vincenzo Varano, James Fawlett, Denis Mack Smith, D.P. O’Connell, F.P. Neill.
- Regulations, official documents, letters, list of candidates, brochures regarding the "Fondazione di Ricerca e Studi Internazionali" and the "Scuola di perfezionamento in studi politici internazionali" (Post-Graduate School of International Affairs) in Florence. Correspondence with Vittorio Farinelli, S. Romano, Yoram Dinstein Dean, Rosalyn Higgins.
- Letters, a teaching programme, administrative documents particularly concerning the activities as visiting professor.
