The file contains reports, summary records, minutes concerning UN meetings such as the 24th session of the "Sub-Commission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities" of UN "Commission on Human Rights" held on 10/08/1971, the 28th, 29th and 30th session of UN General Assembly held respectively on 26/09/1973, on 24/10/1974 and on 21/10/1975 in New York.
The file also includes the following statements written by Cassese: "Statement made by the Italian delegate, Prof. A. Cassese in the sixth committee of the General Assembly on the report of the international law commission" (New York, 24 October 1974), "Sixth Committee, report of the International Law Commission, Statement delivered by the Italian Delegation on behalf of the European Economic Community and its nine members", two draft handwritten statements for the Commissions of human rights held on 18/02/1975 and on 5/3/1975.
The last records are Cassese`s handwritten and typewritten draft statements without information on the meeting.
Some of the activities carried out as a member of the Italian government delegation are also documented in the file concerning correspondence with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: the two files complement each other and bear witness to the assignments entrusted to Cassese and his first experiences in the area of human rights.
