The collection was generously sent to the HAEU by Prof. McCray, of University of California, Santa Barbara.

The ITER collection pertains to the earlier phase of European nuclear fusion programme which led to the constitution of a ITER team whose work developed in the 1990s and 2000s. Covering the years from 1979 to 1989, the dossiers shed light on the debate within European Community institutions and national member states in terms of scientific and economic feasibility.
