Notre Europe was founded by Jacques Delors in 1996 after the expiration of his mandate as President of EU Commission. The organisation is promoting the issue of analyses and proposals targeting EU decision-making and a wider audience and to contribute to the debate in the European Union. Notre Europe has two seats one in Paris and one in Berlin.

Padoa Schioppa presided Notre Europe since 2006 until his death in 2010.
