Ivaylo Georgiev Kalfin is a Bulgarian politician. A three-term deputy, he was Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria and Deputy Prime Minister from 2005 to 2009 in the Stanishev Cabinet. Kalfin was a Member of the European Parliament between 2009 and 2014.
He was a member of Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European and national party Coalition for Bulgaria (Bulgaria). He was also a member of Delegation for relations with Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and Kosovo, Special Committee on the Financial, Economic and Social Crisis, Special committee on the policy challenges and budgetary resources for a sustainable European Union after 2013 and the Committee on Budgets.
He was a Vice-Chair of the Committee on Budgets.
Between 2009 and 2014, he was a substitute for Committee on Budgetary Control, Committee on Industry, Research and Energy and Delegation for relations with the countries of South Asia.
