Marina Manfredi-Magillo worked in the European Commission from 1975 to 2005, as official, and then director. She subsequently held the following positions:
- Member of the “Enlargement Task Force” for the accession negotiations with Spain
and Portugal
- Member of the Cabinet of the Vice-President Lorenzo Natali, with responsibility of
portfolio of Mediterranean policy
- Director of the Representative Office of the European Commission in Milan
- Cabinet Advisor to Commissioner Emma Bonino, with responsibility of the Consumer Policy portfolio
- Director of Consumer Policy at DG SANCO- “Protection of consumers and their health "(protection of the legal and economic rights of consumers)
- Director at the Personnel and Administration DG, responsible for the Senior Management
