Grafiche Casbot, originally established as Tipografia Casbot, was founded in Busto Arsizio in 1960 by Giovanni Castiglioni and Luigi Bottigelli. The company initially operated from a small workspace in the home of one of the founders. In 1961 Giuseppe Tovaglieri joined the company; shortly afterwards Bottigelli left to establish his own business, while Castiglioni and Tovaglieri continued to develop the firm.
In 1967 the company decided to construct a new production facility in Samarate, in the Province of Varese. The premises were inaugurated in 1969 and remain the company's historical headquarters. In 1972 the production facilities were enlarged with a department dedicated to continuous forms. During the company's expansion in the 1960s and 1970s it also established an advertising studio in Milan, Studio Pubblimor.
During the 1970s and 1980s Grafiche Casbot developed important collaborations with national and international companies and institutions, including the European Economic Community. At the height of its activity, the company employed more than forty production workers, technicians and other professionals. The company is currently managed by Franco Castiglioni, Fabrizio Tovaglieri and Laura Tovaglieri, descendants of its founders.
