2002: Nigeria. Worked as volunteer, building and then managing a mission hospital near Uzuakoli, in rural S.E Nigeria
2003-present Secretary Uzuakoli Support Group. Small UK-registered charitable trust set up to raise funds for medical, educational and social welfare projects in the Uzualoli area.
2004: College of Europe Alumni Association. Alumni of the Year Award.
2005:-present: Chairman, local group of Amnesty International
